Gregory J. Blotnick began his hedge fund career in 2009, joining the Connecticut-based Doubloon Capital as an equity analyst. Over the following decade, he worked at a series of hedge funds with diverse investment styles. At Exis Capital, he sharpened his skills in fundamental research and bottom-up stock selection. Later, at North Elm Capital, he helped manage a concentrated, long-term portfolio with a “credit approach to equity” strategy—one that emphasized balance sheet health and cash flow durability as core components of equity value. The fund was known for holding multi-year positions, often riding out volatility in pursuit of long-term alpha.
